The Town of Oro Valley joined regional and international partners at SEMICON West 2025 in Phoenix on October 7-9, 2025, to promote the community’s growing role in Arizona’s optics and photonics ecosystem.
In partnership with the University of Arizona Wyant College of Optical Sciences, the Town sponsored a University of Arizona booth to showcase Oro Valley’s workforce strengths, research alignment, and advanced manufacturing potential. The event brought together global leaders in optics, photonics, and semiconductor technologies.
The Town's Economic Development staff engaged with more than 60 qualified leads in optics and photonics-related sectors and conducted 30 targeted booth visits to discuss expansion and investment opportunities.
As part of the conference, staff also participated in the Netherlands–Arizona Photonics networking session hosted by PhotonDelta and the Netherlands Business Support Office. The session strengthened international industry connections and reinforced Oro Valley’s commitment to advancing collaboration in photonics innovation and advanced technology development.
Through strategic industry engagement, Oro Valley continues positioning itself within Arizona’s evolving advanced manufacturing landscape.
