The Town of Oro Valley Community and Economic Development department takes great pride with its relationship with local businesses and primary employers. To that end, CED strives to create a concierge-style process where customers are provided necessary assistance during every step of the way.

Pre-application meetings that don't bind developers to a certain development plan
Pre-construction meetings to ensure permitting and inspection expectations are explained and understood
Post-construction support by the department’s Economic Development Specialist related to business licensing, grand openings, and the OVNextSteps Business Support Program

Additionally, CED offers expedited permitting options.

Planning Information

The Planning Division administers the General Plan and Zoning Code for the harmonious growth of the Town. The division is responsible for providing planning and zoning services to the community, Town Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, Board of Adjustment, and project teams.

Permitting Information

The Permitting staff coordinates all aspects of permitting by receiving, reviewing and issuing permits for construction. Permits often include, but are not limited to new buildings, remodels, walls, pools, spas, grading, signs, mechanical equipment and miscellaneous projects for both residential and commercial development.
